How many machines do you need to collect before you can consider it an Arcade?

My friends and i were having this discussion we each own 5 machines.

What I am wondering is what does the average arcade collector believe is the magic number?

i call my 1 machine in a room an arcade. it's just semantics.

i'll give you an example. if you have a broken machine in a corner turned off uncared for, then you don't have an arcade. if you have a beautiful restored or one resurrected then it's all about the meaning and intention. it becomes "John's Aracde" or so and so's arcade. they are making a place to play and enjoy a piece of americana.

technically 2 or more, in my eyes, would warrant an arcade location in my eyes.
but then you would consider a restaurant or laundrymat with 2-3 an arcade, but that doesn't seem right.

i'll expand on this later.

5 machines sounds like an arcade to me! Smiley Of course, more games = more fun = more work. Smiley

Every arcade collector should donate a game to a new building to have EVERY GAME EVER!
Bigger than Funspot atleast.
That would be cool, but giving up a game is sad.

Yeah man. 5 is totally an arcade. I've got 6 in my modified sun room (that gets no sun). And 2 in the living room. And 4 in the garage. And 6 at my dads house. And some in storage. Careful; these things are like peanuts.

If were going by the law. I know in oklahoma that an arcade starts at 3 or more machines. Mind you that's inside of a business home use you don't need a license for that XD.

When I finally get off the ground I will have my own arcade that's how I know.

True restoration is an art form. Like any good artist you have to know what your doing. Painting a single line on a canvas and calling it a masterpiece does not fly in restoring a arcade machine. Do it right
