I am planning to get a from a bar downtown and to make room for it I want to give the MAME cocktail table I built to my cousin. But I like the idea of having a MAME machine.

Obviously I wouldn't gut a real for that, so I want to make a mod that can be switched to at any time and easily removed to return the cabinet to normal. I have a lot of experience in tinkering. I can solder and build parts, but I don't want to go into this blind so I'm hoping someone can look over my schematic to see if it's right and most importantly safe. I'd like to know if and where I need to add fuses, diodes, resistors, ect.

How about you convert the cabinet to Jamma then get a Jamma Switcher.

This would be a hodge podge of stuff but:

Then get a JAMMA switcher and a JPAC.

So, REVISED SCHEMATIC

And with this switcher,

Would I still need the Jpac? This switcher has Video/Audio in, or does that only go to the VGA/Audio out on the other side and not JAMMA out?

Also,
The I was looking at had demo sounds and no in-game music. I've never seen that before, is it a bootleg, dip switch setting, or a sound issue?
