I have been interested in collecting arcade machines since 2007 when I purchased my own home and finally had a little space. I bought The Real Ghostbusters from a friend of a friend who needed some cash. I way overpaid for it, but I was mostly just helping them out. I ended up turning it into a MAME cabinet originally using AdvanceMAME and a compatible card to output exact timings for each game. I eventually upgraded the machine I was using from a Pentium 3 700MHz a couple of years ago and installed GroovyMAME on it. I built my own control panel (the original is detachable) and I made all connections using the same Molex connections, so I can plug the original board and control panel back in at any time.

A few years later, I bought an almost-working centipede cocktail that was in okay condition from the same person for $25. I cleaned it up cosmetically and refurbished the trackballs, but it still starts going crazy after it's been left on for a while. That's a project for me to work on soon.
