I understand the validity of Nintendo wanting to protect their IP's from the likes of Super Mario Kaizo games. But wouldn't it have been interesting to see the makers of those games team up with Nintendo to possibly create something greater?

Sadly Nintendo seems to protect their IP with their life in the worst way. They've been known to send out copyright violations for streamers and such. Maybe they'll have a change of heart one day!
