So I have recently picked up a Point Blank shooter, and from what I recall it was a load of fun when I was younger so when the opportunity arose I jumped on it.

Now that it is home this is where the fun begins. Cabinet and cosmetic issues aside, the game isn't working 100%.

The pink/blue areas represent the area that the gun shows targets being hit for player 1 or 2.

Player one works pretty much 100%, there is a SLIGHT strip on the right side of the screen that doesn't seem to accept shots. (like when you point there and shoot, you hear the noise but don't see the pink bullet hole) meaning you can't hit anything there.

Now player 2 is where the issues are at. About half the screen is affected. Now, I know it cannot be the screen because the pink gun works in the areas where the blue gun cannot. This renders player 2 almost useless. When you cannot hit anything on half the screen it makes it unplayable in 2 player mode which is where all the fun is.

OBVIOUSLY I have re-calibrated both guns first before coming on here, but is there any tips or hints that any of you can pass down to me on perhaps rectifying this issue? Buying two brand new guns from namco is insanely expensive, but are there aftermarket guns that perhaps would work easily as replacements? I don't necessarily need to have the huge original namco ones (this cabinet isn't original so to hell with a full resto on this game) I just want it in working condition.

Thanks in advance guys!

does it get better when played in a dark room. does it get better when you turn up the screen brightness. is there an option to turn up the shot brightness? In the guns themselves how good do the lenses look? are they scratched up?

Well, here is the thing though, played at the same time the pink gun works with like 97% of the screen but the blue gun is working at like 60%. I believe it must have something to do with the guns themselves, specifically the blue one.

take the gun apart and check out the lens, see if the lens is in good shape. they often get scratched up really bad.
