Just got this beauty in the mail thought others might enjoy seeing this. It was from the UK so they have way more games on cassettes then we ever got here in the usa. Probably the best $60 I have ever spent

and once it got here






still need to get some power converters but going to love owning this.

I had a 800xl back in the day and would love another. But I will have an 8bit atari computer next month Smiley looks like it will be the base model 800

a c64c from the uk...  awesome because its pal..  lots more pal games than ntsc...

but if you live in the usa, and dont have a good display for it, its pal and not ntsc and you might be screwed ;)

Now one thing you may want to consider, heatsink your SID chip whilst it's running, it's the chip that fails mostly in my experience.

It's the 6581 MOS.  If you lose sound, or partial sound, this is the chip that is failing, it's socketed so it's childs play to replace.

If yours goes, head to ali express, don't pay ebay 4 x prices (from me ;-)  ). Wait a few weeks and get from China for £5 shipped.
