Ian, you're gonna start selling cap kits? Are you the new Bob Roberts? Smiley

How about specialty caps? Like some of the power caps on the chassis boards and Psu caps and transistors.
Just a suggestion.

Nothing wrong with becoming Bob Roberts
The only thing with specialty parts is getting enough to make the price worth while.  As time goes on I will probably add stuff like that as it would benefit me personally.

How about kits for Atari's AR boards? If there's one thing I've learnt they are very important and cause a lot of issues. The AR II boards have more stuff so it should be easy enough to make kits for all.

Here is what I compiled for my Asteroids Deluxe AR I board:

2 x 10uf 25v axial
3 x 470uf 25v  axial
1 x 1000uf 25v axial
2 x 3300uf 25v axial
1 x tip32
1 x 2n3055
1 x 1k ohm trimpot

I'm also going to change out the LM305 voltage regulator, it's getting hard to find though.

I'll take a look into the ar2 I have a few laying around. As for the lm305 you can use lm100 lm105 lm300 and lm305 but I was unable to find a drop in replacements using available chips.

Yeah I have been using that resource and a few others. I think he was talking about having the parts for sale for the more special parts that you don't normally replace. I don't mind the suggestion but they are not that cheap and more risky to have in inventory. I might revisit that position after I get set up more. At the moment I am still doing documentation.

For the cap kits I am trying to highlight and label all the Caps in a picture to make finding them easier.

OKay dokey, I am putting in a test order for 10 kits. These are test kits because some of the 16v and 25v caps were bumped up to 50v and I am not 100% sure how they will fit, they should fit without issues since I did check the spacing and width but you can never be sure.

Price is $6 a kit and shipping is included.  Please PM me if you want one. The list of current support kits is above. If there is anything wrong with the kit I will refund your money if you can send me a picture of it!

Almost all of the caps are Kemet with few exceptions. The caps are all 105C. I can provide a few list of caps used, its just long. I am completely willing to change these caps to improve the quality if it is suspect.
