And the video issue is back. I think it's just time for a full monitor rebuild and replace the pins for the video signal where they plug into the monitor.

On the plus side I did find time to fiddle with this game a little and I fixed all but one of the non working sounds. The last one is a little beyond my skill set so i'm going to hire it out.

Damn, that's a nice project. I'll have to watch the whole series.

Test voltages on the board at where the connector connects to it, if bad, check the wiring that goes back to the power supply.  If good and there's no obvious trace breaks or bad capacitors on the board, you're probably going to need a board schematic.

I had my Time Pilot working just fine, then it started to pulse the screen and display text characters.  Tried new power supply and didn't help.

The machine won't coinup or put out sound.

I'm thinking a lose connector on the PCB/Harness.
On the label it states: Wells Garner 19K4675

What do you guys think?
TIA

I installed a PI2JAMMA board with a pi3 into my cab. It's running PinHP and this is specifically setup for the board and set to run 15Khz CRT and Jamma joysticks with no messing about at all. I had spent time looking at the GERT VGA adaptors with retropi , but was lost trying to find what mode to run the CRT at and then I saw you had to add configs per game, but this does not need anything like that and you can tweak it all from inside mame.

Someone did make a new vector game but the last actual vector monitor was made in 1983.  Could you make something that mimics the style?  Probably but LCDs are still raster based.

Personally here are my favorites from the old school:
1. Tempest- love playing this crazy tube shooter
2. Asteroids- can't go wrong with a classic
3. - fun game but due to current prices no way I'll own one
