1  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Nintendo vs pcb trouble on: June 13, 2017, 04:59:27 pm
Hello everyone! I'm having issues with my Nintendo vs pcb seeing if someone might be able to help. The problem is that when I have 2 games running on the pcb, no matter what side you can see the other game in the background. This is a Red tent that currently only has 1 monitor working. I'm not sure if that would cause this issue. Any suggestions would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
2  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Re: Nintendo vs gun color? on: May 21, 2017, 04:19:28 pm
I have figured out what the BLUE and PINK guns come from Lethal Enforcer. They look just like the orange Nintendo guns inside and everything. Now the 2 connectors plug right in but they don't have the loop. I had it plugged in to my Red Tent but all I could get was a trigger sound but no hit marker. I also had to bypass the alarm. Now I have seen a few arcade parts web sites sale these as Nintendo guns so I'm still a little confused if they will work or not and my gun maybe broken. I just ended up hacking the Nintendo zapper for now.

Update! Thanks P-feif.  So after you saying this I started looking on my monitor board. Sure enough I didn't know that the Sharp 1801n had a switch to invert the colors. So I flipped the switch and the screen went white. So I pulled my other monitor out that didn't boot up at all and retried it. Sure enough after replacing a fuse the monitor came on wigh the colors inverted. So I flipped the switch on this one and sure enough the colors are correct. So all in all I fixed one monitor with a fuse and now need to figure out whsts up with the switch for the invert colors on the other.

4  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Hogan's Alley color problem. on: April 23, 2017, 02:46:18 pm
Hello everyone I'm trying to figure out my Nintendo Red tent. I'm trying to get Hogan's Alley to work. This is the only rom set I have currently.  So my issue is my colors are not correct. After tweaking with the monitor I have come to the conclusion that I don't think its a monitor issue. It looks like my white is were my Black should be. I  wondering if it is a PPU problem but after checking Johns VS page I have the correct PPU for Hogan's Alley. Does anyone have any suggestions.

All right I have a question with the Nintendo vs Arcade gun. I have seen Black, orange, pink and blue colors. Did different colors come with different systems or games. I'm just curious and I haven't found anything on it.

I just wanted to update this with the fix for my sound trouble. All I need to do is replace the LM324 amp chip on the main PCB.

Hello, I am in need of some help with my Centipede. When I start a game the sound is at medium sound then goes real low. I did have a blown resistor on the AR2 power/amp board. I replaced the resistor and the big Caps. Still it has the same trouble. When I picked this up the volume pot was cut off and laying in the bottom of the cabinet. I wired it back up to find this sound trouble problem. I have checked that I have 50 OHM on the Rheostat pot. So now I am lost I think my next step will be replacing the LM324 amp on the main board. So basically its like it loses power right after I start the game. it does it on every new play its so odd.

Thanks for the answer Ian. I just received the cap kit from your site so that's the next step for this monitor cap kit time. Hopefully it will go smooth this will be my first cap kit install. Smiley

Okay guys I have a question. On my Neo Geo 4 slot I have a sync issue. Now the wire connections are all hacked up and just twisted together. So I taped the ends for now. So I found a manual for the MVS and it shows the sync cable connected to +H sync. Now my cable is connected to the -H sync. My monitor is a WG 25k7191. So my question is will hurt my game if I switch the cable to the +H sync to test it?

15  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Ivan (IRONMAN) Stewart Super Off Road need Help on: June 23, 2015, 06:40:12 am
I think I am having a issue with my Super Off Road arcade. I have noticed when I play it that I always play the same 4 boards over and over. When I run the diagnostics it shows all 8 boards and everything is okay for the board maps. Is it possible for the game to run missing some rom data that will cause this trouble? Truly I thought I was just not playing it long enough to see the boards. Then I went to 16 bit Bar Arcade last Sunday for Fathers day and I was watching people play this game and sure enough more boards were showing up that I have never played on my Arcade. So now I am back questioning if something is wrong with my Arcade. So just a little background this is my first arcade I have bought for a basement arcade. I got it with garbage on the screen and I was able to reset the chips and wiring to fix that problem but I am a little lost on why this problem might be happening with the missing game boards. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.
