1  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Time Pilot - Monitor pulses, displays text char. No coin-up or sound. on: July 16, 2019, 10:30:46 am
I had my Time Pilot working just fine, then it started to pulse the screen and display text characters.  Tried new power supply and didn't help.

The machine won't coinup or put out sound.

I'm thinking a lose connector on the PCB/Harness.
On the label it states: Wells Garner 19K4675

What do you guys think?
TIA

Yes, it is fixed.  Acquired a DMD from Germany of all places.  Fixed rubbers, bulbs and Ramp Speed Detector.

Super strong flippers and great shaker motor...this is one of my favorite pinballs to play.

Thanks for checking.

Good News -

Put all my Caps in, read the b+ and adjusted to 108vdc.

Adjusted H Hold...and....

BINGO!!! A great stable image of Mario Bros.  Sound works great too.

Played it for a couple hours and was rock solid.

Now, just need a new CPO and Sideart.  Also, the plastic t-mold has turned very brittle.
Anyone know of a good place online to pick all this up?

Thanks for everyone's help.  I greatly appreciate everyone here helping me out.

Chris -

I see that you're new...welcome.

You may want to join/ask over at www.klov.com

You can PM Slackmoe...he fixes the K6100.

5  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Arcade and Video Game Discussions / Original PacMan Cocktail converted to a Yie-Ar Kung Fu. on: March 11, 2015, 12:28:41 pm
Just picked this up last night....working except sound.

What should I convert it to?

It has the one joystick and two button on each side.  Also, the monitor is horizontal to the controls.

So, I don't think a vertical 60-1 would work.

R30 is fried too.

So, both R29 and R30.

MK

Cool...yes....Diode R29 is fried on the ARII board.

Also, my B+ is at +150v.....shouldn't be around +108vDC?

Thanks,
MK

Thanks Ian.

Another user emailed me back on KLOV...he believes that the B+ should be at +108vDC...just like the Sanyo EZV.

That diode on the ARII is completely fried...it looks a bit melted too.  Will post pic.  Not much to that ARII board.

Here is what the screen looks like now.  +13vDC going into the board at PINS 2/B.  The edge connector looks fried.  See Photos:

Marquee Lights, Player 1/2 buttons glowing.

I think I found my problem....

Both PIN 2 and B are showing a whopping +13vDC.  The manual says +5vDC.

Bad Power Supply?

Thanks,
MK

11  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Dig Dug - Sanyo 20EZY monitor - B+ setting? on: March 08, 2015, 05:56:11 pm
Anyone know the B+ setting for a Sanyo 20EZY?  This is in an Atari Dig Dug Cabinet.

The current reading is +150vDC.  I know Nintendo's 20EZ is suppose to be 108vDC....just wondering what the EZY runs at.

Thanks for your help.

Okay Ian - so any of those would work?

I'm gonna CAP kit it too while I have it all apart.

Already CAPPED the audio board....not bad...just took some time.

Thanks

Does anyone know the part # or item # for this transistor? It's got a screw hole in the top and 3-legs.  Guessing BCE.

Thanks,
Mitch

Okay....

Looks like Q901 needs to be replaced.

Where is that?  Is it another Transistor?

Thanks,
Mitch
