Solved!

The problem ended up being in the security board.  Luckily Mikes Arcade is selling new ones. Plugged in the new one and all is well!

I have a Super Punch-out that I picked up that's giving me fits.  It resets when the match starts, as soon as you press the punch button.  It also resets during attract just when the match starts and the announcer says something.  You can actually use the punch buttons to enter your initials. A friend of mine put it on his bench and saw the same behavior so its nothing to do with voltages or wiring.  He verified all the roms.  He was thinking it has something to do with the audio circuit but couldn't find any issues.  He's now thinking it may have something to do with the Security board?  Any advice is appreciated.  If it comes to it, can anyone recommend someone who repairs SPO boards?
