Another pain in my ass but in the long run it was worth it.
This aint like the neo geo, I sunk way more money into this bitch.

I worked for two pawn shops at the time , at one of them they had a few machines.
Bought the green one at the end (stripped the icade out and gave cab to a buddy)  missle command (fire hazard) and took a chance and got the blitz.
The blitz was originally an MK2 , the tags were still on the inside, it still had sideart (couldn't save it) and CP overlay.. but with 6 extra buttons drilled like shit into it.
It was converted from an MK2 to an MK3,, then a UMK3 then finally a blitz.
I had to pay my buddy to get the cab up to the third floor .. that sucked.
Bought a boardset, sound board didn't work.. rebuilt that and got it going then the mainboard quits. that got replaced too.
Had to have a new control panel made to replace the swiss cheese it was currently using.
the monitor in it was fucked.. cracked in parts.  replaced that .. then just switched it to another monitor.
Removing the paint was a nightmare.. it was like stripping the paint out of the back of a dump truck.
threw the t molding away that was painted over with the same shit.
Did the bodywork, sealed the cab . bought new artwork and t molding.
replaced the power supply and harness. had to buy all new switches and controllers.
had to find a bezel and front glass.
Im happy with the way it is now.. I just burned the TE balance roms for it too.
A lot of you woulda bought a better condition cab or maybe wouldn't have bothered at all.
but it meant a lot to me to have one of these machines.
This was my first full restore on an arcade machine..
DAY ONE..

How it sits today...

I remember the threads, and the PAIN you went through getting this all working and together. But in the end, credit where it's due, that's a fine looking machine.
I bet you learned a lot and had fun too.

Steve you have ton's of pics, throw them up again, alby13 missed it.
