There's been some interesting interviews with Japanese developers posted at shmuplations.com recently.  Most of these are from the '90s -- interview with SFII director/designer Akira Nishitani (http://shmuplations.com/streetfighterii/), Taito's Gun Frontier designer/planner Takatsuna Senba (http://shmuplations.com/gunfrontier2/), Data East round table interview touching on Karnov (http://shmuplations.com/dataeast/), tiny piece on Star Fox with Shigeru Miyamoto (http://shmuplations.com/starfox/), and a 1985 interview with Yukio Kaneoka who created the Jr. game music (http://shmuplations.com/kaneoka/).
