Guys -

A guy is selling his Spyhunter, in decent shape for its age.  Not working though.

What's a decent price?
Thanks,
MK

Those MCR games can be easy or hard to fix.

It could just be a power supply issue. Arcadeshop carries a modern replacement. It can cause hum in Spyhunter but sometimes it doesn't.

Spy Hunter uprights can sell for $500+ in working condition. It's a cool game and cool cab. But, it's a beast. BIG GAME!

What's the going price for a non-working tempest?  I have one in my sights.

Also, would you guys kill me if I took a broken Mario Bros and turned it into a Fix it Felix Jr. Cab? Undecided

Thanks,
MK

fix it felix is really lame. as far as non-working tempest.
CHEAP, needs to be REALLY CHEAP.
the monitor is basically impossible to replace, somewhat difficult to work on. boardsets are expensive to replace. I believe the only guy that works on tempest charges $200 for a repair. All of the parts on tempest can be difficult to source.

Ian, you're a negative Nancy. Smiley

Non-working Tempest could be ANYTHING.

#1 - Bad ARII power supply - easy to rebuild
#2 - Bad frame transistors on the 6100 - not too difficult.
#3 - Burnt up low voltage section on 6100 - LV2000 is common rebuild component
#4 - Tempest PCBs are plentiful and not impossible to find.
#5 - Bad edge connectors - not hard just time consuming.

I agree with everyting up to the tempest pcb. I havent seen many working ones for sale recently, and prices have been a little silly of the few that I did see. Either way, tempest is common enough game that a non-working one should be very very cheap.

Hey guys, I got a on three machines last night.

Non-Working Tempest
Marios Bros Wide Body
The Last Dual???Capcom

None are working 100%, but paid $550 and the guy delivered them to my house for free (35mile trip).

I know...I overpaid, but Tempest is on my list and they are difficult to find around here (St. Louis)

I moved them to "The Basement"....late last night...haven't had a chance to look into them.

These 3 will be my major projects for the next month or so.

Ugh, The guy had a Jurassic Park Pinball and it only had a bad launcher.  He was letting it go for $1,200 <- I'm low on Arcade funds...had to pass.

Thanks for your suggestions...I'm sure I'll need some help resurrecting these back to life.

Is the "Wide Body" Mario Bros I bought rare?  or just common like the other style?
