I don't know if this youtube video will help you (the title says Old Pattern), but take a peek and see if it helps you.

With John getting his Dragon's Lair, I'd probably squeeze one of those into my 'fantasy arcade' collection as well as my other fave laserdisc game 'Cliff Hanger'.  I am a huge Lupin the Third fan.

I wouldn't get Space Ace though.  That thing is way too hard.  Go on YouTube and search for Space Ace Arcade gameplay.  There's a video that shows the final battle.  It's insane!   Shocked

Gratz on getting your Dragon's Lair, John!   Grin

I used to beat this game on a regular basis back in the day.  Back then (loooooong before the Internet became what it is today), there used to be dozens of monthly magazines devoted solely to beating Arcade games.  One month, one mag did an entire issue of 'How to Beat Dragon's Lair'.  They gave out all of the patterns needed to beat the game.  It is totally sweet when you kill the Dragon for the first time.

Happy Dragon Hunting, John!   Grin

1.   (by far my fave arcade game)
2.  San Francisco:  Rush the Rock Alcatraz Edition (fave driving game)   Cool
3.  Gyruss (love the music . . . still haven't reached Earth though)   Sad
4.  BattleZone (love the game, hate those #$%^ missiles, though)  Grin
5.  Robotron (the most insane fun for a )   Shocked

If I owned a house, and had a basement arcade, these 5 would have to be in it. Actually 6, I'd get 2 Rush the Rock and link them for multi-player goodness.

Honorable Mentions:  Super GT (a.k.a. Scud Race; again I'd have 2 and link them), Rush the Rock 2049 (again 2 linked), (Original with the sitdown cabinet), Ms. Pac-Man, and maybe Pac-Man.

Greetings from the Vidiot!

The reason that I chose that handle is that (quite simply) I can be such an idiot sometimes.

Case in point:  I have been trying to join these forums for a couple of months now, but I kept getting one of the verification questions wrong, and I couldn't figure it out.  The first question asks what the most popular online auction site is.  I kept thinking that I wasn't spelling it right.  Huh?

And then, like a bolt of lightning, it struck me!  That wasn't the question that I was getting wrong!  For some reason, my feeble little mind was convinced that Mario was created by SEGA!   Shocked

I just watched John's video "John is a Stupid Head!".  Welcome to the club, John, pull up a chair and sit a spell, there's plenty of room!   Grin
