rare? hmm..

City Connection is probably my rarest favourite game and I doubt I'll ever find one!

Another I would add would be Flicky.

Next to the collection of Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, New Zealand Story, Snow Bros.

What do you like about SOF? I find it really boring. Its nothing but left side ball lock repeatedly for multiball, and ramp back up to mini playfield. the whole lower playfield seems pointless.

How did the big guys (eg Midway, Taito etc ) agree on jamma?  in my time the big guys tried to sue anyone who put a different game into there boxes (like putting DK into a frogger cabinet).

Pinball Joe

jamma came about because of the big downturn in business in the 80's. they basically all agreed to a standard to cut costs and keep themselves in business.

JAMMA is Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association.

no to proc. thats super expensive for.. not much worth. want to buy something that can read 16 switches? 80$! 2 chips to read 16 switches cost 40 cents each. fuck that noise.

got a master board designed, solenoid driver + flash lamp driver, switch matrix. the gi LED board is done, doing the insert/RGB insert LED side of the light board now.

my boards will be open source for anyone to make later on.

I have lot more info in my pinside thread;

Or, did the MAME team change the license after developers contributed to the code base in good faith, in order to sell the package to Google?  If that's the case then they are evil cunts.

this. lots of devs submitted code under old license. mame dev team just relicensed stuff unilaterally, and stripped licenses off patches and stuff and put a new commercial license on it, even when original developers did not agree to it!

worse, everyone else in OSS world ignored whats going on. google 'mame going commercial'. best threads were by Haze, but he has since hidden his posts and given up on the subject.

for end users, mame is great, I love it.

if your a software dev, the mame dev teram fuckers are evil cunts. Moving Mame from its open source free license to a closed Commercial License, fucking other devs over re-licensing code they dont have the rights to re-license, etc. yeah, fuck them.

I really have no problem with the Soldapullt. Why you guys need that fancy stuff for cap kits?!?

you know how different it was going from pliers to a real ratcheting crimper?
Thats the difference when you go to the hakko 808 to desolder stuff.
