Dig Dug is great. I love it. It is very repetitive though. I'd get a cabaret if it popped up. It's better than Mr. do. Smiley

You obviously haven't played Do enough to know all the rules. It is way deeper of a game. If you look at the surface it looks like a copy but it isn't.

I will be doing the same thing on my Mr. Do! just full with bondo and touch up with color matched oil based enamel paint. I actually did this on my junior as well where the operator had added 4 extra holes to keep people from pushing in the bezel. You can't even tell the holes were there now.

It is very repetitive with little depth. Mr. Do! had much more depth in terms of scoring etc. I am a namco Fanboi, but in this case I am not.

Loved it as a kid though.

I have a particle board Jr and it isn't off center.

You can get the off center from audiomidiman on KLOV. Chopping quarters is his web site I believe.

Just get someone to help you fix the monitor, don't put LCDs in classic games.

The red button version are unique but if you have the orange buttons they are pretty much sanwa buttons.

I show both in a video I recorded yesterday:

I like that CP with the two tone leaf buttons look bad ass and ill be following your Mr Do revitalising &  btw cool videos...

I watched your G07 monitor repair video when you toss the board in the sink, honestly I thought you were crazy, I never thought of washing circuit boards like that, you proven to me its just fine to do so if you do it right...

I won't work in a unwashed chassis. You end up filthy and the first even can get in the solder.

How did the big guys (eg Midway, Taito etc ) agree on jamma?  in my time the big guys tried to sue anyone who put a different game into there boxes (like putting DK into a frogger cabinet).

Pinball Joe

jamma came about because of the big downturn in business in the 80's. they basically all agreed to a standard to cut costs and keep themselves in business.

JAMMA is Japan Amusement Machine and Marketing Association.

Actually it was because all the arcades in Japan switched to candy style cabinets like a pachinko parlor. The operators could then just swap have boards. This was all decided on Japan there there was no downtown in the arcade business.

When I got my cabaret, it ran really fast, as well as had other issues, the problem was the the clock board:

It actually looks pretty nice, I wouldn't bother if you like the game.
