17  Other Stuff / Off Topic / Re: Where have you watched Johns Arcade Videos? on: December 28, 2014, 03:13:52 pm
Usually I watch them in the living room on the TV via the chromecast. But sometimes when I'm in the john I watch John's videos on my phone. That, or old far side books.

That cocktail looks remarkably similar to the trimline style cabinet in this tnt video about a sega gremlin carnival. According to the big T the cabinet was rare enough to warrant him putting it in his own collection.

19  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Arcade and Video Game Discussions / Car buying advice? on: December 11, 2014, 08:17:44 pm
HEY GUISE

I'm looking at buying a new vehicle. I am leaning towards a van, suv, or crossover. What kind of vehicle do you use to haul around arcade games and pinball machines? What's your suggestion?

21  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Re: Popeye monitor on: October 29, 2014, 05:01:11 pm
The sharp and sanyo monitors nintendo used have an ungrounded power plug that looks like it could plug into mains. But, DON"T DO IT. Those monitors require a 1.1:1 isolation transformer that changes 120v to 100v. Plugging it in directly to 120v is a great way to shock yourself and fry the monitor...

You need one of these guys: http://www.quarterarcade.com/Game.aspx/4526

You sure it's not an electrohome G07? Also, why do you need a new chassis? Most people fix them since they're easy to repair. Is yours missing?

Pretty Interesting...  A quick search for Vectrex in my area:

You can get the multicart for $150  http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/vgm/4710689479.html

and someone is selling an entire Vectrex system for $3,650  http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/tag/4702980601.html

Vectrex's aren't worth anywhere close to $3650 the price that guy is quoting is off the wall bonkers. Except for the 3d headset. That is an exceptionally rare piece. Those often times end up in museums and stuff.

Steve's price is fine, nothing special.

He's doing the same old game where he "advertises" something for sale then when people are interested he doesn't answer the question. He just wants to dangle a carrot and see everyone respond to him. Ignore the troll, guys.

28  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Pinball Discussions / Re: bulb and starter question on: September 26, 2014, 07:26:45 pm
Was asking because the fixture in my pac had them missing.

I did some research and found twistedquarter.com has a bulb and universal starter.

1 x REPLACEMENT FS-U UNIVERSAL STARTTER (LB-START)  = $1.50
1 x F15T8 (LB-FL-F15T8/CW/18)  = $2.59

I had the same situation. I suggest you treat the water damaged area with this:
