Looking for an old arcade jump'n'run game

I remember playing an arcade jump'n'run game in a mall in the late 80's, but don't know the name. Maybe someone can help me:

The main character had a hammer and you had to jump/run through a maze. You had to smash cups, tea pots and such things which were floating around. At some locations you could find a telephone box, where you could change your character (they had different features, e.g. one was tall and was better in jumping, another one could handle the hammer faster).

Anyone remembers this game?
