*sigh*. I was really looking for information on this thing.  Anyone know who made it or how it works?  Bought it off Klov 5-6 years ago

I don't know if I want to sell mine because I like playing it but things being how they are I thought I'd ask.  Has one minor graphical glitch where single pixels blink randomly in the bottom right corner and the character select screen was glitched when I set it on free play.  None of that effects how the game plays at all as everything else is clear.

I can't say from experience but a lot these rules are pretty darn antiqued.  People used to think arcades were evil, gambling, the relm of punks or all three.  Some still think that way.  Here in Georgia I believe you just need a tax license per game to operate on dollars and quarters.

Some have gotten around this by putting games on Freeplay and charging admission

I just recently picked up a Dig Dug that was converted to Ikari Warriors, the original side art is there and not that bad but a little ruffed around the edges and scratched anyway to touch it up even thought its a decal?
Some people do this or just leave it original.  I've seen people use paint or even markers

Hello All,

I'm a newbie here still as I do not have a cabinet yet. However, I am contemplating purchasing a Neo Geo cabinet. I would like to have a CRT monitor in it, even though some folks advise I should use LCD as they are more reliable and I have little background on how to service a CRT.

My question is, if a CRT is recapped, on average, how long is the lifespan before you begin to see problems again? A monitor in question would be a Wells Gardner K7000. If a Wells Gardner K7000 was recapped, how long would it last before it starts to have problems or outright dies on me.

My second question is, and I may get attacked for this, is it wiser to just go the LCD route? Are parts and service on CRTs becoming less easy to access thus suggesting we should move on to modern times? I hate to think this, as CRT monitors look beautiful. I was in the Vintage Arcade Superstore several months ago and the CRT pictures on those cabinets were gorgeous.

Thanks for any help or answers you can provide.
Hi I'll take a Crt over a cheap LCD any day for older games.  Most of them once repaired can last for years.   Also LCDs can distort and stretch out 4:3 pictures.

Also many LCDs can die off in five years or less.... making you buy another one.

Hi guys I grabbed a fairly rare PCB.  This is Boogie Wings by Data East.  It's a darn Unicorn as you never see them.  I was just looking through old Craigslist and there it was in a list of boards for sale.

Now how in the world am I going to find a Marquee?   Other than that it's just a drop in for a Data East cabinet

Hi Kenny.  I just wanted to say that I was there and I got to play Whitney's Sky Skipper.  It's a really fun game so I really wonder why Nintendo never released it.  I took lots of pictures but I don't have an awesome video camera like John.

I go to SFGE because I found out that it's a great way to meet collectors.  I have been all four years Smiley

29  Tech and Marketplace / For Sale / Wanted / WTB: Mystic Warriors: Wrath of the Ninjas PCB on: April 21, 2017, 11:38:56 pm
In my research of Konami four player arcades I think I found an interesting one that I'd like to track down.  It's called Mystic Warriors and it looks like fun and it's by the Sunset Riders team.

I'm kinda testing the waters to see if anyone has one.  I think it's pretty rare so I don't know if I can get one.
