I'm looking for a RP2C04-0002 or RP2C04-0003 Nintendo PPU. They are found on the following games:

RP2C04-0002:
Vs. Castlevania

Vs. Raid on Bungeling Bay (Japan) (MDS-RB)
Vs. Slalom (MDS-SL)
Vs. Golf (MDS-GF)
Vs. Wrecking Crew

RP2C04-0003:
Vs. Dr. Mario (MDS-VU)
Vs. Excite Bike (MDS-EB)
Vs. Goonies
Vs. Balloon Fight
Vs. Soccer (MDS-SC)
Vs. TKO Boxing

I may also have a RP2C04-0001 or RP2C04-0004 to trade

hi guys wandering if anybody could help me out I have a vs red tent I put Mario bros on it and I keep getting a blue screen or a yellow screen with a Mario coin sound ringing  Angry

I recently had an issue with Super Mario showing a blue or yellow screen.  Reburning the roms resolved my issue

What I don't quite understand is why the Vs Gun connects to the right joystick which renders the select buttons redundant - hence why I had my problem

If you ever wanted to change the game, from a gun game, your stuck as the select buttons don't function.

Why did they not replace the left joystick and leave the right joystick and select buttons to function, to make game interchanging easier, even if the gun is on the control panel?

I believe they are also found in Playchoice Uprights

I'm looking for a couple of Nintendo Red Tent Joysticks, complete with their assembly, if anyone has any for sale?

Or can anyone point me to somewhere I can buy these from?

I believe they are classed as:

MDST-14-12 - VS Unisystem upright and cocktail (Red Tent)

It's exactly the same as a Mario Bros upright joystick apart from the 8-way guide plate

I've also looking for the screws and bolts that go into the instruction card perspex on the front of the Red Tent. Again if you have any or can point me in the direction of where to buy them from I'd appreciate it

Mario is working now.  I had to change some of the wiring over from the gun harness back to the CP.  I can credit the game now  Smiley

Swapped around the CPU's and PPU's and no change, so decided to burn a new rom set, and guess what....

Yup, both screens now have games!

The only weird thing I don't understand is that Super Mario is meant to be in freeplay, I've burned the replacement 1d/6d rom for free play and attract, but I cannot start a game.  I've made sure the 1-3 dips are set to on, so I'm not sure why this is the case

I've tried pressing P1, and P2 buttons...nothing

I've tested this is mame with the mod, and it just requires the P1, or P2 start button to be pressed.  Maybe I have button issues?

I was premature here.  I still have issues :-(

I swaped out what I thought was the bad CPU for an RP2A03E on Excite bike and put the RP2A03A CPU on Super Mario

Excite Bike worked!  Super Mario has a yellow screen!?!?!  Also I noticed the game was resetting!

So I wondered if the CPU's needed to match, so I swaped the known working RP2A03A for the RP2A03E - so both CPUs on the PCB
were RP2A03E

Powered up and both games were working, but....game resetting, and noticed that even though Super Mario was working initially, it had gone to a black screen after a short period of time.  Powered off and back on - Super Mario had a yellow screen again!

Put my other PCB back in with Hogans Alley and Golf and no resetting.

So either my second PCB (with Super Mario and Excite Bike) is screwed - which accounts for the resetting.....or it doesn't like the CPU's

So I could do with taking the CPU's off the non-resetting board to see if it works and doesn't reset - If this is the case it doesn't like the RP2A03E CPUS.  If it is the same the PCB is faulty :-(

John, do you know if RP2A03E CPU's are ok as replacements instead of RP2A03A's?

I now have this working.  It was a CPU issue

Hey John, thanks.

Yup, I've been speaking to someone on Klov who made me aware that you need two keys

13  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Re: K6510 keys help on: November 29, 2013, 11:00:29 am
I would suggest maybe drilling out the lock and replacing it but I've never done that. Someone should probably second this idea if its an actually good idea. The logic being if your going to replace the lock anyways...

No problem drilling a lock or two, but not 7.

Plus K6510 locks are worth keeping :-)

Bob Roberts sells these keys now. At least that's my understanding.

http://www.therealbobroberts.net/

Thanks I'll check with Bob

I was wondering if a kind member would *lend* me a K6510 Nintendo Red Tent key please?

Unfortunately when I bought my Red Tent it came with no keys.  I have 5x K6510 locks, 1x Sega 5380 and 1 generic lock

If I can unlock the K6510 locks I'd be extremely happy

I will cover all postage costs etc, and return the key immediately after use

I'm based in the UK
