Hey John.

Thanks for your fast answer.
I tried to adjust the frequency but unfortunately it's not getting better.

Could the problem maybe some bad capacitors or resistors on the 20EZ?

Hej community.

We have a Arcade Machine at the office and we love that machine.
Unfortunately for quite some time we're having a strange Video Problem as you can see in the video: http://youtu.be/n3yND6OXmZY

We even bought a new board but the problem still exists. The good thing is, now we know it wasn't the board. The bad thing is, we really don't know what the problem could be.

I hope somebody can help me with this issue.

Thanks and regards
yves
3  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / One pcb for another machine? on: May 15, 2013, 10:07:14 am
I have an Arcade Machine with a TKG3 4 Board-Set.

Now I thought about to change the board to another one like this:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Elevator-Action-Returns-Taito-F3-Arcade-PCB-Jamma-Board-/290903038430?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43bb2c19de
or this:

Is that possible or how I know which board fits in which machine?

Thanks and regards
yves

Thanks for your reply.

Unbelievable but it works again. I checked the whole eeproms twice, took them out, checked the legs, cleaned them and putted them back in.
I was almost on despair. Then I just closed the backdoor Lips Sealed ... and it worked.
So smart this machine was build, it has something like an safety shutdown behind the backdoor. If you open it, it disconnects the current supply.

I'm happy that it works again.

I have an Arcade Machine with a 4 Board TGK3 PBC.

Due to some grafik issues I took the pbc out of the machine, disassembled it and cleaned some roms as described here:
http://www.brasington.org/arcade/tech/dk/

After reassembling the pbc, reinserting and plugin all the plugs back in position, nothing gets shown on the screen.

One day before that the machine was working so I think there should be no electrical issue.

I'm a little worried about that I crushed something.

Do you have an Idea what the worst thing could be I have done to crush it?  Huh?  Embarrassed

Update: I talked to scott from brasington.org and the producer of the High Score saver kit as you recommended. He said the score in the kit will be stored in a 93c46 serial eeprom.
So I have to build something like an interface which will act as an eeprom reader.
I hope I can do this. I'll keep you up to date.

If you don't know who else does? ;)
I really like to follow your videos and it seems you know every little detail of your arcade machines.

No really, thanks for the advice. I will give it a try and order it. Maybe they can give me a little more information about the exact location where it gets stored.

Is there any other information out there that you'd like to see added to the Nintendo Vs Tech Page?

Where does the score comes from or where is it going?

On my workplace we have an Arcade Machine. We all love this game and everybody tries to beat each other. So as not to let it run all the time we're switching it off at the end of the day. But after switching it on, the score is cleared.
As an interested programmer and tech enthusiast and because we're an digital agency I'd like to connect the Arcade Machine to an wifi enabled Arduino bord and save the score in a Database to display it Online.

What I'd like to know: Where is the score located, how can I read the information or have you or somebody else any advice how to reach my goal.

Great thanks to your work and Videos. I love them.

Regards
Yves
