I have been struggling with my main board on Battlezone.  The board was resetting, fixed the CPU socket. Then I found out that the programs are bad.  I used a braise kit to get the game to to come up enough to start a repair. All was looking good.  I changed 3 output chips, and 2 char chips,  and got the game to come up and work.  After a few minutes it died and locked up in bad state machine. Now the main board is locked up into bad state machine. The sound is not working at all.  I looking for the boards that work, the rest of my machine is solid.  I just cant get around this last step.

I have a coin operated Atari Tempest Machine.  I have replaced the monitor boards, the two PCB game boards and the power source on the machine.  Everything works on it except the monitor. 

You can play the game by sound alone. 

I have taken it as far as I can with my knowledge of the electronics and the machine. 

I am looking to do one of three things.

1)   Sell it our right for $700.00
2)   Trade it for a working Tempest, Centipede, Millipede or “tell me what you have we can work something out machine”.
3)   I will sell parts on it if the price is right.

I got my Tempest machine working.  Slackmo did great job on all the monitor boards.  It worked for about an hour and then the monitor went dead again.  I replaced all the fuses in the machine and still no picture.

Any one have any suggestions on anything else that I may have to replace...

Do anyone know the reading I should get for the Toshiba BU207 transistor in HV box on a Tempest Machine?   

I am a new (er) collector of arcade games. I have two machines a Tempest and Tetris.

In my Tempest Machine I have replaced all of the boards in the machine. Everything is working except the monitor. I am not technically savvy enough to fix it. I do not have the tools to do it either. The game it self plays (I have gotten to level 3 on sound alone).

I live on the south shore in Hanson MA. I was told you were the right person to connect with to possible reefer me to someone who can help.



Any direction and help would be appreciated. The Tetris works great.
