Is it only the attract modes sound not working?

I actually wasn't thinking steam punk but I might or might not go that route now that i think about it. I've got a unique idea for the back glass too. That however will stay hush hush for the moment. ;)

Myself I think I like having 3 of those mushroom bumpers I think there called and the ball bouncing off them. Thinking on that gave me an idea XD

Can you define what makes it fun? Also what do you mean by depth?

I plan on it, I can't decide if I want to go into business doing it or if I want to make them for my own use. Trying to find a simple step by step guide to understanding these types of machines is impossible.

I know about the book project arcade, I'm not interested in mame though I believe in if I'm making a machine I want an actual machine.

Without saying too much I'm currently working on the concept design for a airship mystery pinball. It makes sense if you saw the concept design.

I've got many questions, but ill try to keep them simpler.

If you saw an old wood rail pinball machine at an arcade would you play it and why?

When you play a pinball machine what makes it interesting to you? Lots of targets to hit or shots that are harder to hit?

Does the theme affect your immediate reaction upon seeing a new game?

Do you like gimmicks in your pinball games? Those little odd things that you'd probably never see outside of that particular pinball machine.

I ask these things because I'm trying to get into the mindset of a player who goes to the arcade and plays machines regularly. Also I think it'd make good conversation for the forum. Seeings as I'm the first person other than John to post in here ;)

Sadly there is no arcade's where I live currently, otherwise I'd go to it and learn in person.

I can beat North and South on the NES in under 2 minutes. It's pretty fun to do too. I wish I could of captured it on video but i took the three horses, took out the other three horses all 6 infantry and the cannoner all on the first run with them. It was nothing short of AMAZING.

I'm Shadaw, I'm from Iowa and I research games that takes currency trying to learn how they function. I have plans on making my own arcade machines, pinball machines, and fortune tellers. Among many more arcade items I hope to produce in my life time.
