you will want to test 30V on the cathode side of diode X609

if you are still missing 30V, turn the monitor off and do a continuity test between Pins 4 and 6 of J607.

well the 30v is pretty important to the vertical so if thats now dead from that cap being backwards you wont have working vertical deflection.

when you install a cap backwards it is effectively a short. therefore anything upstream of it might have been damaged.

you need to check X609
R631

and probably a few other things on the 30V line if you can read the schematic that far.

might have a bad cap somewhere. The hum is going to be from ac not being filtered properly. Btw, ICB is closer to a pin than a vid Smiley

i paid $150 for a working scramble in the less desirable stern cab. $600 is stupid.

the memory chip right above the z80 on the cpu board is where the dallas chip goes.

Nothing wrong with the pot pegged, get as close to 5V and leave it.

Just leave the power supply alone. You are chasing nothing at this point. As long as its near 5V you are fine.

there is probably something going on making it need to be cranked all the way but 4.9V is more than fine and I would move on to something else. I still haven't see anything about what the game is actually doing to help you out.

that sounds fine to me.

I have been pretty slow to respond here lately but reading through this. 4.9V is more than good enough. I would move on from there. What issue are you having?

That's a pretty rough one to cut your teeth on. But the best of luck to you.

personally why bother?

A real pacman board is cheap. they usually sell for less than $80.

There is pretty much a solid 0% chance of finding a schematic. the best you can hope for is they followed the official schematic close enough.

you can fit two normal sized cabs laying down in a van.
you can fit 4 upright in the back of a pickup truck but loading can be difficult.
A small box truck can do i think 8.

I've moved 12 on the back of a 16 foot trailer upright. the key is to put cardboard between each game and tie the games together in one big group. A couple of straps over the top to stabilize and its fine.
