First i turned it on and the coin counter made a clicking noise... then the machine shut off..
I disconnected the coin counter now it stays on but its looping like in these videos.

Also hit the test button
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5cRnKtZWCM

checked the edge connectors and ribbons,, checked the wires comming off power supply ... the monitor looks like brand new .
what the hell could be causing this?
the boards say Zaxxon sound II and Zaxxon Video II

I dont have a volt tester yet. but if you have seen this before any ideas or thoughts might help.

So i took the boards out.. I found about 4 bad solder joints and cleaned all the roms and stuff.
the connectors...
If you look at the pic below with the solder you can see one broken solder joint bottom right ish.
i question the power supply that goes to the monitor.. not the isolation transformer but the little board behind it.
the edge connector plug looks fucking wierd too.
I reflowed the solder on the broken solder joints as well.

Its still doin the same thing after re assemble.  I also found a at the bottom of cab.
At this point i am at a loss , i have no clue if its the board, power supply or harness.

You gotta check your voltages. I bet your power supply is toast.

id like to get the pcb tested in a know to work cab . i may have a fucked up edge connector or power supply but i wanna be sure.
thinking about buying a second zaxxon machine that works for 450 or pay somebody 150 to take the board and plug it into a machine to see if the pcb boots ok.

take John's advice. I had sound issues, thought it was the pcb, turns out the voltages were all to hell, bought a new one.

trying to get a replacement power supply but all my friends with parts are being super retarded.
It seems my cash or favors doesnt work anymore or some shit.
Went to jammaboards site today..

NOW...
If i get a power supply... will it work on zaxxon?
I mean if you look at the pics you will see an extra board near the power supply and isolation transformer..
do you use that with a newer switching power supply?
