Is an eraser the best tool to clean the PCB contact or is there something better than that?

I pulled all the chips, sanded, and re-seated them. It still comes on with some garbage and then 15 minutes later I can play. Any other suggestions?

Guys,

I have a Crystal Castles that when I power it on I get garbage, but when it stays on for 15 minutes the game is fine....looks great and plays great. The test mode shows everything is ok. The PCB is dirty, should I re-seat the chips? Also, can the PCB be washed? I've seen videos that show the monitor being washed, but I haven't seen a PCB be washed. As always thanks for the help.

It does on the solder side, but not on the component side. No sound either Ian.

I have been looking for a Mortal Kombat one PCB and found one this weekend. Actually a friend of mine gave me a MK1 pcb (no audio board). He said he didn't think it worked, but I might get lucky if I pull and seat the chips. So I pulled, cleaned, and set the chips. Plugged it in to my Great 1000 Mile Rally cab and the screen is blank. I pulled the pcb and plugged my Time Killers in and got a blank screen. I know my Time Killers worked a couple of weeks ago, but I sold the cab that it was in and the MK1 cab I have is currently empty waiting for me to paint. Did I miss something? Shouldn't my Time Killers at least show a picture? Thanks in advance for any help.

I recently took my frogger cocktail apart to clean it and when I put everything back I noticed the reading on the fuse block. If I have to replace the fuses can I just use standard 1 amp 250v fuse, 3 amp 250v, and 5 amp 250v for replacement?

I have collected console games since I was around 12 and I'm 39 now. I had most of the NES, SNES, N64, NEC, Atari Jaguar, etc. My collection was for the most part stored away until last year when I sold almost the whole collection. Although I loved all my old console games, I kept most of what I had when I was a kid, I sold everything else. I haven't looked at prices lately, but when I sold mine the market was up....way up. Prices will probably be high for a while and then drop off. I have the Xbox one instead of the PS4 and I'm kinda with you on not liking it. Console gaming has gotten very expensive. Games are at least $60 and most times another $20 or so for map packs or expansions. The One has more glitches about it than it really should. I play Advanced Warfare, Ghosts, Halo, and Titanfall, but it seems it is losing its luster. Maybe I need a new crew. Most of the guys that I teamed up with back 5 years ago don't get to play at the same time I do anymore. Multiplayer is more enjoyabale. I guess my point is if you are going to sell now is most likely the best time to do so. I have a few arcades and these guys on here have made it very fun. I have gotten tons of info from these guys. Good luck with whatever decision you make.
45  Tech and Marketplace / For Sale / Wanted / FS: Tron Control Panel Plexi (SOLD) on: February 08, 2015, 06:20:25 pm
Guys,

I wanted to know if anyone was interested in this Tron part before I throw it on ebay? I don't know if I named the part correctly, but it goes below the control panel.

SOLD
