16  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Re: Frogger Cocktail 100v on: March 22, 2015, 12:47:25 pm
So I got the cap kit for the monitor (Sega MC-2000S). As I was looking over what needs to be replaced I saw these that didn't match the ones I got in the pack. Can C523 and C503 be replaced with "standard" capacitors?

I just finished a cap kit for my k7000 and as I was about to connect it I noticed the fuse is gone. I see that it is 200v, but what amp should it be?

Update on the Crystal Castles....I rebuilt the audio/power board and "tinned" (don't know if I used that properly) the edge connector. I wiggled the wires like you suggested Ian, but still same problem. I had a buddy let me borrow his working pcb and still the same problem. Any suggestions?

Guys,

First off, thanks to all who have been helping me out. I actually did my first cap kit today. I was replacing caps on a Crystal Castles audio/power board. I got down to two big capacitors and they have an orange sticky/glue underneath them. Was this there to hold them in place?

I have a coin door that I'm restoring for a Crystal Castles. It had no bulbs in it and one of the coin rejects is missing. The bulb for the trackball is missing as well.

Does anyone have any info for coin doors? For instance, bulb types, coin reject replacement, entry bezel, return flap, etc.

I think I have seen John clear coat a control panel. If not, has anyone ever clear coated one?

Alright guys,

I have good news and bad news. Good news is I cleaned the PCB contacts and the game now shows moving garbage instead of still garbage. Also, the game is playable in about five minutes instead of fifteen minutes. The bad news is that I think you guys are right about the edge connector. When I pulled the edge connector off I noticed that it come off with almost no effort. So, that may be the problem.
