I have a pacman machine that works with a few exceptions. When one of the wires gets moved, the red color disappears and everything turns blue and green. The sound works when I press the sound test button on the board, but when I do a sound test using the button in the front door behind the coin slot there is no sound. The game does not play sound at all when the game is played. Also, the high scores are not being saved. When I turn the game off, they are no longer there, and some of the characters in the high score menu look like sideways bar codes instead of letters or numbers.

The original battery was removed by a previous owner and replaced with a AA battery pack (no batteries) that is cracked and has green residue where the batteries would attach.

Any suggestions on how to fix any/all of these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

this game is a bear and I haven't fully wrapped my head around it yet. My only advice for you right now would be to reseat some stuff, check to see if anything might be loose and maybe you have some bad memory or something. This game is not for beginners when it comes to repairs.
