Cap Kit

Hi All,

Pretty new to the repair game...can anyone help me understand what a cap kit is? Thanks/sorry!

General jist is a cap kit is just a bunch of capacitors in a bag (or tape strip  ;) ) that you use to replace all the electrolytic capacitors. Sometimes a dim monitor, bars across the screen, distoration, or flickering. stuff like that can be fixed. Even completely dead monitors can be brought back to life with new capacitors.

There are a lot of things inside any game. You just have to ask the right questions, If you post here on the forum i will always answer your questions and point you in the right direction.


As a simple starting point, always find the manual for the game you are looking at and read through it. They often show diagrams of how it is wired up, what parts look like and how they are put together.
