Title: Newbie Collector!
Post by: MrHiu2 on February 12, 2011, 10:03:34 pm
I'm really new to this hobby, although my experiances so far have been AWESOME! I have only 1 machine at the moment, Root Beer Tapper. It's presence seems to eminate my hard work on that cabinet.

But I am having some problems on where, (or for that matter, how) to buy machines. I really would rather buy broken machines, for the fun of repairing them (to kill time... :D) and for a lower price. Unfortunatley, I can only find cheap-ish machines on eBay, and even then, shipping is a bit expensive. Any tips, or some sort of strategy, of how to buy? I would love to get further into this hobby, owning a small home arcade would be GREAT!

Glad to see a forum up!   -Nick

Search craigslist, that's where I got several of mine.

I think the best way to grow your collection without breaking the bank is to reach out to local collectors. Try to find out who is collecting near you. KLOV.com is a great place to find like minded collectors in your area!
