last beer I drank was my own homebrew, an all grain stout I made, custom recipe in beersmith2. Right now drinking a hard cider, actually a Smith & Forge (made by i think the coors people?) its nice, not as sweet as Angry Orchard / Woodchuck. got a little tartness to it, quite nice. 6% ABV.
92  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Arcade and Video Game Discussions / How many games do you play a week? (games total, not machines) on: April 09, 2014, 07:53:35 pm
Curious to how many games people play. Not machines, games.

I play about 20-30 games of Tron pinball and about 10 of Starship Troopers pinball a week. so about 30-40 games on average.

wcs, jpops best pin as all his other pins suck. well CV interesting but imo wcs > all other jpop pins.

The magnasave right on the flipper tip instead of outlane is cool. goalie, tv, etc.

I have only pins.. Now if c64 games were in arcade cabs, I'd have a bunch.
97  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Re: electronics resouce links on: March 24, 2014, 01:19:10 pm
www.mouser.com the only place I ever buy stuff from. IMO mouser is far easer to use than digikey.
also www.greatplainselectronics.com for some other hard to get stuff mouser does not carry

thanks  i was thinking that mame would be my only solution.  i was hoping for an easy fix

as long as you realise these XXX in 1 boards _ARE_ mame. they run mame inside. really old versions, on shit slow old ARM chips.

youd be better off just using mame on a pc.

i really wanted a Swords Of Fury so bad. then I played one. man I hope you played one before you bought it. nice price if the PF is good. game is just waaaaay to easy. lock ball. lock ball. multiball.... repeat. nothing to do. and damn the sound is awesome.. then you hear the damn callout ALL the time non stop..

anyway. its an interesting system 11 game but after putting a bunch of tokens on it at papa I crossed it off my list.

I'll  be interested in what your opinion of it is once you have some time on it after a while.

its not a pinball board I am familiar with. no company logo etc. using 74LS chips dates it since everyon uses 74HC's now. 24 inputs or outputs on keyed connectors to octal buffers? but why two unpoulated AD converters? ADC0804s? hmmm.

wow some REALLY undervalued pins  there, if they PF was in good condition would have been REALLY awesome scores (flight 2000, shakeys shootout + highroller are fun, judge dredd, T2, LAH)..

is there a digit missing on Whitewater? because whitewater commands big prices, for 325$ is a freaking steal.

and a circus for 350? holyshit. circus is like the sister to Genie. one of the best widebody gottliebs ever.

maybe the condition on those was really bad... shrug

that would depend on your price range.

you should check out the sparkfun MP3 trigger. no arduino required, just trigger one of the input switches to play mp3 N. etc.

105  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / General Arcade and Video Game Discussions / Re: digital oscilloscope on: March 13, 2014, 07:34:38 am
yeah I have an open bench logic sniffer which is cool, and I went in on the dslogic kickstarter which is a much much more upgraded version of OLS. Protocol decoding is so awesome. So for an LA I'm covered. Im just debating scope or no scope.. The Rigol DS2072A gets good marks on EEVBlog so its not a piece of chinese junk at any rate Smiley
