John,

Lookyherenow: You introduced me to the Red Tent.  I have never seen one in the wild.  I was not in the arcades in the late 80's, and according to Wikipedia, that is when they were introduced to the arcades.  I practically lived in the arcades between 1977 and 1983.  Between the ages of 8 and 14.  In fact, I never even owned an NES system!  I had the Gameboy and the SNES in the 1990's.  I really enjoyed watching you play Exitebike.  Thanks for another great video.  By the way, it seems the penultimate Journey video has gone from the "Neverending Journey" to "Waiting for Godot" Smiley  Keep up the great work.

Yes, this was definitely one of my favorite videos John has posted. I loved both Excitebike and Ice Climber.

I used to actually own the handheld Nintendo "Climber" LCD/Alarm Clock. I miss that game. It is hard as F (to attest to John's challenges jumping onto the bird for the bonus)

Mad Planets - are they angry or are they crazy?  According to the flyer, "It grows red with anger and attacks your ship"

Yeah, I got it in '86 from my Dad as a gift. He used to travel a lot in Tokyo at that time. I played it for years and now lost track of it. Hopefully it's in a box in my garage. Now they sell for $300+ on eBay.

Here's some gameplay: http://youtu.be/Q7M1QQAajFM

It is "Root Beer", as in "Root Beer Tapper" . It is an american soft drink/soda.
