What do you guys think?

Planning on buying up some cabs and painting them black then puting a generic "MAME" marquee on them.

I was thinking of doing it to help myself in "the hobby"

Anyone want to Pre order one?

I don't think most here would support such an endeavor; more emphasis is placed on fixing machines to the way they were in their prime.

Are you talking about generic cabs or is this a trolling attempt?

Most people hate it if someone destroys classics that could be brought back to life.

I think you should post them for sale on CL at $1500 and drop the price over time until you get a sucker to buy them.

Great idea.

Already painted 3 cabs black so far.  A Ms Pac, a galaga and a pc 10 cab.

Can't wait to gut them and slap a few Pentium 3 rigs in there.

You guys will get first chance at them.

Getting ready to paint it black and change the monitor to an LCD.

Things are going well.

Will let you guys know when I get them ready for sale

I built three from brand new and two from older cabinets in the end I gave them away to friends for cost there is no money in the labour the market is scarce for those old games. Build them for your own personal satisfaction but don't expect to make any money on them. There all over the classified and guys ask 1500 or 2000 or more and if you look there never selling there DREAMING!

Great news, I really liked what you did with that EDOT, placing that gamecube in there was pure genius..

Don't use only black paint, but also use carbon wraps, rgb leds,   and u should remove the original control panel and exchange it with 2 joysticks,  8 buttons per player and 2 trackballs.

I did the same with my Irobot,  tapper, paperboy, donkey kong and zoo keeper. It looks fantastic if I may say so, but strangely my friends don't talk to me anymore.

There is a really nice artwork package out there for these multi games. They feature the way cooler Mario version from the GBA era! Seek it out!
