This is my buddy's pac man he had in storage for 3 years.
We were supposed to be goin back and forth to eachothers machines to repair em.
To this day he has not laid one tool on any of my machines.

This would be his pac man.  boy was this thing fucked up. Everything had to be stripped out and tossed in the garbage.
Its seen water, fire, black paint, everything fried .
I got it back to normal in less than 5 days. I did it for free.
Then I asked him for a lousy cone button which he had 2 dozen extra and tells me he will
think about it. Ive already done/repaired 9 machines for the dude too.
right after he fucked around with the cone button (I needed it for my centipede P2 button) I stopped going over.
he calls me and tells me how all the stuff he ordered came in.. My reply was "Oh cool, my centipede needs a button ill call you back"

After sanding the crap outta it for 5 hours.

and body work.

After getting a paint match from my other buddy's paint shop.

after blending in sideart.

Had to sandblast control panel and repaint. new artwork and controls.

putting new t molding on.

adjusting the monitor .

then I repaired this right after...

I really wanted that night driver.. it came out real nice after I replaced the power supply, sandblasted and painted the coindoor and gas pedal.
fixed the shifter, fixed the monitor, replaced the blacklight.

thats all from an empty wrecked cabinet.

The only on hand spare pac harness I had was from ms pac man machine. the monitor came new outta box (NOS)
had two spare boards, one was a fast pac.   had to make one decent CP outta two junkers.
I personally donated the marquee and coindoor.

the guy turned into a dick..

REMEMBER the people that help you get your machines running or find you parts..  right john?

O man, does he even plan on paying you anything for all the parts and time? I know this is mostly a labor of love. But I mean at some point there has to be a payoff before you get to far into a machine that is not yours.

Great work! Thou.

I just made the great mistake of sanding and doing all the body work in my living room. Iv been trying to clean up saw dust for about 3 weeks now. LOL

I would certainly tell that guy to pound sand. If you are doing all the work and he isn't doing his share of the then he is using you so let his games rot, chances are he won't do anything himself to fix them.....

I will do exactly 1 solid favor for someone, then they better do the same for me if they want me to continue helping them in any form.
family members and friends always used to ask me for help with computers and electronics, it got so bad i was getting calls for help from at least 4 people a day wanting me to act like free tech support for all their dang gadgets. started asking them to pay a nominal charge or trade me something in return and the calls ceased.

people always expect you to do things for them but rarely step up top the plate to do anything for you.

I run into this ungratefulness every once and a while.

And I tend to be very picky on who I call "real friends".  Just because they have similar interests are they really friends?
Not really.

The people you want to help or hang out with are ones that help you in return in time of need.  Those people you don't charge them.  Because you can count on them.

The others.  Send them a bill.  Cheesy

Just a personal note.  Most of my real friends are NOT on facebook.  ;)

I'm gonna have to clean up my Facebook page.  Too many unnecessary friends on there.  Having that Xbox fan site, you tend to accumulate a lot.
