2  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / Re: PACMAN Screen Curl and its NOT the monitor...is it? on: June 03, 2015, 03:48:36 pm
you can't post a link to a video that shows classic G07 curl. Take your own photo otherwise I am going to just say, do the G07 curl mod.

If you haven't already, remove the filter PCB that is between the harness and the game PCB. its worthless and only adds frustration. The isolation transformer shouldn't cause any issue like a curl. They pretty much work or don't.

thanks for the reply.

ian ....yes apologies about the video from someone else. but that is exactly what it looks like on my machine. I had pics but deleted them on my computer and then the board has to be sent off for repair...should be back by Saturday. so i couldnt take any new pics. plus the cabinet is at my friends house who lives 2 hrs away. rofl...long story but hey its just my life .

Thank you too Vertex. I am trying to get my buddy to take some pics. I should be by his house this weekend hopefully.
3  Tech and Marketplace / I need help with my game! - Technical Discussion / PACMAN Screen Curl and its NOT the monitor...is it? on: June 02, 2015, 02:26:51 pm
Ok guys this is the . EVERYONE keeps telling me over and over ..."you need a cap kit" "what monitor you have" "adjust your monitor" blah blah blah

LOL

Heres the scoop....

I have an original pacman stand up aracde machine. when I first got the machine it worked ok but it had a screen curl just like this link....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqmH4RYZTWI&feature=youtu.be

I have replaced almost EVERYTHING in this machine.

Replaced

1. All wiring
2. Pacman PCB
3. Monitor
4. Fuses and fuse blocks

I think it could be the isolation transformers since its the only things I haven't replaced. Ideas? I am at a loss for ideas.

Thanks
4  Other Stuff / Off Topic / Vibration Switch Graphic on: September 28, 2014, 01:29:39 am
So I decided to try and restore the "Vibration Switch" Paper that is usually present inside the old midway coin doors. To my knowledge this has never been attempted.

I think I have gotten pretty darn close in a "replacement" graphic.

Was thinking both bags for $8

shipping small priority box $5.80

Does $13.80 sound fair?

PM me if interested.

It looks like the TE parts might work? Will I be able to just cut off the connectors and replace them with the new ones? That should still work right?

That new site just has the one type of 9 pin. Does it have the other?  I am so confused now....
9  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / Beginner's Help Corner / TE Connectivity VS Molex Question on: September 10, 2014, 02:46:24 pm
Ok so I bought some TE parts and I though they were interchangeable? Was I right to assume this? Or did they "f" up my order?Huh?

I attached a pic. I wanted a 9 pin molex connector and they look way SMALLER then the molex.

John had the Midway Coin Door wiring schematics in a video he did. Where can I find those at? I looked all over.

Thanks

8/25/14

Found the "FRONT DOOR ASSEMBLY" I was looking for. It seems for the "wiring" of the coin mechs is still a bit of a mystery but John does a good job in his video explaining it so I guess I have to settle for that. The front door assembly seems to be in every PDF manual of each game. They all look slightly different from each other but generally the same. Some have lights for the coin slots and some do not. Some have the coin coutners in one place and then another place. I hope this helps others out too. Thank you John for PM!

14  Arcade and Pinball Discussions / Beginner's Help Corner / Re: Bondo on: August 21, 2014, 07:56:39 am
I need to fill some errant holes in my wood CP and I guess Bondo is called for to seal them up.

I have never worked with Bondo, however, last night I headed out to Home Depot to track some down and couldn't find it.

Would someone be able to tell me a)where to purchase and b) which variety of Bondo I need to patch wood holes?

Appreciated.
