Hey Quickjump! Thanks for joining. Have you tried to meet any local collectors? CL and Ebay can be really hard and overpriced. It can take a long time to get a good . Try reaching out to local collectors, KLOV.com is a good place to start.

Hi all. Looking for a pair of back door keys to a Root Beer Tapper cabinet . Anyone know someone who sells reproduction keys? Or the keys that are use? Thanks. -Nick Have you never opened up your game? You should be able to just drill the lock and replace it. All of the locks on these games are standard sizes and replacements can be found easily for less than $5.00.

No, it will go to a grey screen. Pretty much the same it did when i burned Mighty Bomb Jack for myself. Not too much going on there.
I like the game. I had it on a multi Nintendo cart 110 in 1 back in the day. It was a famico release only, so i don't think many people knew about it. I got to play goonies 1 on that cart as well. I guess i was pretty lucky. I still have that cart and play it!!
I enjoy the game. You kill your enemies and collect there souls. Pretty straight forward but it gets harder as the levels progress. You should check it out on mame just to see what its like.
That's really interesting. I was wondering if Mighty Bomb Jack would work with another PPU. I had no idea. On some of the other games only the colors are wrong if you use the wrong PPU.

Hey John,
I love your website and your knowledge of pinball/nintendo and all things Arcade! I recently picked up a Nintendo Vs. Dualsystem (Red Tent). It came with 1 motherboard with Castlevania and Super Mario Bros. I Love this machine... Although getting PPU's has posed challenging for me. I have called arcade places (no luck) in my area and I checked Ebay (way too pricey).
I noticed that the Playchoice 10 motherboard has very similiar connectors to the vs. and I would love to have the option of playing 10 games on the vs.
I know that there once was playchoice 10 kits you could buy and convert your vs into one. do you know where i could get such a kit? do you think its worth doing such a thing? What do you recommend?
I always loved anything Nintendo and I think putting a playchoice 10 in the vs system would be more practical with switching games instead of worrying about cpu chips, ppu's, and burning roms.
Your thoughts on this John..
Thanks,
Chris
There is a kit to convert the Vs. system to PC-10. I don't think it's worth it. You are better off getting a second cabinet for PC-10 games. Why ruin a nice dedicated Vs. system?

I'm really new to this hobby, although my experiances so far have been AWESOME! I have only 1 machine at the moment, Root Beer Tapper. It's presence seems to eminate my hard work on that cabinet. But I am having some problems on where, (or for that matter, how) to buy machines. I really would rather buy broken machines, for the fun of repairing them (to kill time... ) and for a lower price. Unfortunatley, I can only find cheap-ish machines on eBay, and even then, shipping is a bit expensive. Any tips, or some sort of strategy, of how to buy? I would love to get further into this hobby, owning a small home arcade would be GREAT! Glad to see a forum up! -Nick I think the best way to grow your collection without breaking the bank is to reach out to local collectors. Try to find out who is collecting near you. KLOV.com is a great place to find like minded collectors in your area!

Hey all, name is Arthur and I am from Lowell, MA. ( forum name is a character from a TV show ;) ). Been playin arcade games since late 80s, and havent stopped. im planning on building a Mame Cab from scratch so i could just play at home instead of traveling 2 hours to Funspot. ( although i did visit the new one with my kids in Pelham which is kinda nice). If anyone has any tips on building a cab id love to hear them!
Are you looking to build a MAME cab? Welcome to the site!!

I'm somewhat new to the classic arcade scene though I've been playing arcade machines my whole life. I competed at the 12th Annual International Classic Video Game Tournament up at Funspot and have been traveling up there multiple times a month since. Recently I have been going to an arcade the in Pelham NH called Pinball Wizard. The classic arcade collection was scattered, but the pinball selection was amazing. If you are a fan on Street Fighter or any other fighting game, this is the arcade for you. I own a Willow cabinet that I believe was converted from an old Atari cabinet, and Im in the market to buy my first pinball machine. Does anyone have any good suggestions for things to avoid when buying a pinball machine? Any advice would help. Thanks.
Welcome, bro!! Funspot nad Pinball Wizard are both cool. I think the biggest thing to look out for with pinballs is battery damage on the main CPU board. They had AA batteries on those boards and they tend to leak and destroy the boards. Make sure you look at the boards before you buy!
