Do you have any pictures? Typically the holster is bolted with the same holes as the joystick. There shouldnt be any extra holes.

As long as someone didnt hack at the harness, all the connectors for the 2nd joystick will be there. Just take out the gun harness and unbolt the holster, then bolt up the joystick and connect the 8 wires.

Do you have another board to try? Maybe something is wrong with that 1?
Did it work before? Or did you just get your tent?
36  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Re: Hogan's Alley PPU not working on: June 25, 2013, 02:25:49 pm
Yes putting them in backwards will make them stop working. I did that once when i wasnt paying attention. Now i check them like 3-4 times when i install them before i turn the game on.

Thats really about all that kills them. I guess maybe a bad pcb could, or a power surge in the whole system maybe, but that would likely fry out other things before the ppu

It might be a bad pin, look it over closely. Otherwise it sure sounds like a bad ppu.

$25 takes baseball and golf, or trade for almost any playchoice game

Price drop $13 for golf and $18 on the baseball.

I luckly havent has a monitor problem yet. From what i gather some people are getting the inverter board from mikesarcade, and putting the 17 inch crt 8 liner monitors in them. You loose an inch, but its the closest you will find. And you can get them in 100v version i believe.
Im sure lcd is another option, most people just dont like them. I personally wouldnt put 1 in, because the gun games wont work then.

42  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Re: Best 2 player simultaneous VS games? on: May 02, 2013, 07:45:14 pm
I wasnt aware of skykid being a simultaneous 2 player.

Baseball isnt horrible to play

Tennis is cool if you constantly have 4 people over to play.

I have heard ice climbers and wrecking crew are fun, but i dont have those yet.
43  Nintendo Talk / NINTENDO VS. FORUM / Re: Light Gun on Red Tent on: May 02, 2013, 07:39:59 pm
You could get them with a gun installed, or install one your self. Working guns can be pricey, and you either need the gun harness or make your own.
A less expensive alternative is a modified nintendo zapper gun.

I have a zapper and the revolver type that i switch in and out to play hogans alley, duckhunt, and gumshoe. Hoping to get a freedom force soon.
