Title: gauge wire needed for control pannel
Post by: Spongecake7 on February 08, 2016, 03:25:15 pm
Hello everyone, I'm new to the hobby but have a small project and I have a question about.

I'm trying to take one of these small plug-n-play arcade systems and take it apart and wire it to a real stick and buttons. I'm going to build a small table-top game out of it.

What gauge wire should I use? Where do yo normally buy bulk-multi-color wire? I have some old thermostat wire that has never been used could that work?

Thank you for your help.

control panel wires are usually 22-26 gauge wire. A decently cheap place to buy a lot of wire is http://stores.ebay.com/Remington-Industries-Winding-Supply/Magnet-Wire-/_i.html?_fsub=500275319
