Hi I just ordered a new overlay for the Galaga '88 I just bought and I took a look but I can't for the life of me figure out how the 1P and 2P cone buttons come off. does anyone know?

The cones are screwed onto the switches. You can get them lose by twisting the switch itself counterclockwise, carefully.
