There may be a monitor issue also. I also have a converted popeye to dk that i can confirm the board in. The previous owner may have made adjustments that put the monitor to all white. Imm looking to get a flikr acct so i can upload pics. The machine looks like it hasnt been touched in 30 yrs a credit button was added to the original coin mech unfortunately. Looking at the board, it looks really good. Previous owner said it just stopped working one day. Said he had it for years while his kids were growing up. He is retired. I did recently acquire a logic tester. Have never used one but theres only one way to learn. Thanks onecircuit. I have an untested ebay dk jr board coming. My plan was to add it in this cab. Reseating now and i am trying to get the same "garbage" to show on white screen monitor.

Hello all. I am semi new to collecting. Learning that if you're going to own it, its going to break down. Anyway, I picked up an original donkey kong on the cheap. The screen is totally white with vertical lines. I pulled the board and put it in a known working dk to eliminate a board issue and all I saw was a bunch of scrambled letters in different colors.
Any thoughts on the problem or problems?
Thanks guys.

Glad there is pin discussion here:
Lineup; Evel Knievel home edition (I know but it was my first pin and I am an EK fan) Evel Knievel com edition. Was led'd so I put reg bulbs back in and everything went out. Currently in repair process. Buck Rogers. I don't care what anyone says, I am keeping this one. Its slower but its awesome. SpeakEasy. Love this pin. Addams Family. My high score is 378 mil.
Looking for a theater of magic.

Thank you. I did check the fuses already. I am going to go through the power to make sure the supply is correct. I tried the usual 're-seating' of connectors and such. It seems to get worse the longer it is on. I will continue tomorrow after I take in a few more youtube video's. I want to get caught up on the journey restoration also.
Thanks for the input. I will update as I trial and error for this pac-man problem. I am having a hard time deciding if I want to try a total restore or leave it original and beat up.

So I purchased an all original pac-man from a guy who claimed he upgraded the monitor to lcd but original monitor came with the pac. The upgrade was a dell slapped in with a conversion board held in with tape and the old mounts wedged underneath. My plan is to 'shotgun' the k4600 but in the meantime i need to get the wave and tick out of the dell that is currently sitting in the machine. Naturally the coin mechs he claimed worked do not work and there is some cabinet work needed to the original paint. Cab is solid and all parts are there but its rough. So, any thoughts on the lcd dell wave issue? The menu for the monitor does not wave like the gameplay and the speaker also puts out distortion when the volume is raised. Cap the board? Transistor issue? Could power supply cause this?
