Heya, I'm new here and pretty desperate...

I have been looking FOREVER for a legit red DK arcade cabinet, not just a generic Nintendo cabinet painted red, but they are pretty hard to come by in the UK...

I currently have no arcade machines and therefore no contacts, and am only really looking for this cabinet to install MAME into for personal use...

Why must it be legit? You may ask...
I may not have any cabinets, but when it comes to Nintendo consoles... I am a very experienced collecter! Let's just say that this cabinet would be the ultimate collectors piece...

If anyone is wanting to sell one, I am willing to buy in ANY condition as long as everything is there, working or not.
Also, I need some way to get it to the UK and, as I said above, I am unexperienced when it comes to arcade machines and literally have no idea how I would get one from the US or anywhere else to the UK...

So, if anyone has one they are willing to sell, please get in touch with me as I am willing to pay reasonable prices.

Cheers!

Hello from California, USA. I am a Nintendo fan myself. I don't see any for sale in my area at the moment.

A light search suggests shipping a crate to the UK could cost around  $700-800 or £485

It first needs to be crated, then shipped through a company. I don't know if there are any fees or taxes for import/export. The companies would know this.

The red cabinet was Jr.?

No, it was the original in the red Radarscope cabinet.

Cheers!

Nah they were Donkey kongs.. people put DK Jr art kit on it later on..
They were gonna use the cabinets (i think john explained this in one of his vids) for another game which flopped and ended up using the red cabs for .
the only way your gonna get this thing shipped if is somebody takes it apart FLAT stack. that means you are gonna have to re assemble the whole cab when you get it.

I have two......... not for sale.

You want an empty red Radarsope/DK cabinet so you can MAME it? Smiley

If you find one that's trashed and you have to repaint it then why not just find any old DK style cabinet and paint it red?

Importing a rare radar scope cab only to put mame in it sounds like Sacrilege to me .
Your better of get one custom made in the uk and there are guys that do it .

True restoration is an art form. Like any good artist you have to know what your doing. Painting a single line on a canvas and calling it a masterpiece does not fly in restoring a arcade machine. Do it right
